As Iloilo City eyes the next Miss Iloilo Dinagyang 2016, the city’s cultural ambassadress of goodwill to represent in the national pageantry among the 10 gorgeous candidates vying for the crown, Iloilo Business Park steps up as the venue of the Swimsuit Competition set on January 16, 5PM in front of IBP Sales and Information Center.
Miss Iloilo Dinagyang is one of the premier beauty pageants of the city and the whole region for decades searching for the most beautiful and talented Ilonggas every year. Organized by the City Government of Iloilo and executive-produced by Ilonggo fashion designer Alex G. Soncio, Miss Iloilo Dinagyang advocates a pageantry that highlights the vision as the epitome of a true Ilongga beauty – by heart and by passion for cultural heritage, anchoring her reign in the biggest and grandest cultural festivity in the Philippines – the Dinagyang Festival.
This year, Miss Iloilo Dinagyang takes pride of having 10 lovely and charming official candidates who will compete in various categories and showcase their beauty, wit and appeal. As one of the pre-finale competitions leading to the January 20 Pageant Night at the San Agustin Gym, the Swimsuit Competition will be held on January 16, 5PM at the Iloilo Business Park Sales and Information Center. 4 sets of swimsuits highlighting the festive colors of Dinagyang Festival and exclusively-designed by Ilonggo fashion designer Alex Soncio, will transform our 10 ladies into stunning queens set to capture the hearts of Ilonggos and visitors.

Angelyn A. Magahum or commonly known to her family and friends as Angel, is a 23 year old registered nurse. She graduated Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Iloilo. She stands 5’4” tall with vital statistics of 32-24-32. She likes spending her free time with family and friends. She likes playing basketball and do swimming. She also enjoys modelling and dancing. Currently, she’s having IV therapy training in one of the hospitals in Iloilo city. She is also having her duty completion in order for her to start as a volunteer nurse.
At the age of 22, Pauline Rose “Pau” Geroche is a Government employee of Caluya, Antique. She took up Bachelor in Journalism at Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). She stands 5’5’’tall with vital statistics of 33-25-33. Her hobbies include deep-sea snorkelling, diving, reading, writing, playing with her dogs and island hopping. She plays volleyball and badminton, and she is also fan of football albeit a non-playing one. She is skilled in writing, baking desserts, and playing bandurria, lyre, & ukulele. Pau is the reigning Festival Queen of Carabao-Carroza Festival of Pavia, Iloilo. She considers herself a very competitive person. She like to work hard to achieve or get something she wants. She does not want to feel entitled; rather she wants to feel deserving.
Mary Lee Tuble is a 23 year old banker. She took up Bachelor of Arts in English at West Visayas State University. She stands 5’6’’ tall with vital statistics of 32-25-33. She likes to cook and she loves to listen to music all of the time. She plays volleyball and badminton. Her talent includes acting and dancing. She is very optimistic towards life, God fearing and family oriented. Lee also loves to make memories and to cherish friendships.
Twenty-two year old Jhoanne Tañada is another bank teller among the candidates. She finished her Bachelor in Broadcasting at West Visayas State University. She stands 5’7’’ tall with vital statistics of 33-26-34. During her free time, she likes to watch movies, play clash of clans, or to surf the net. She also do modelling. She considers herself to be God fearing, family oriented, focus towards work, a loving individual, a good friend and an optimistic person.
Japril Maquiling is a very sporty girl. She plays volleyball, shot put, discus throwing, and javelin throwing. She’s 18 years old and is currently taking up Bachelor of Business Administration Major in Financial Management at the University of Iloilo Phinma. She stands 5’7’’ tall with vital statistics of 35-26-34. Jap also likes reading books, dancing, and acting. She is also an anime lover.
Twenty year old Karla Beverly Tan is a 1st year Pharmacy Student at University of San Agustin. She loves singing and considers herself to be talented on that field. She plays volleyball and she enjoys swimming and surfing the internet. She stands 5’9” tall with vital statistics of 32-27-35. She is a woman of faith, optimistic and hard working. The most important thing for her is to enjoy life.
Vanessa Ann Caro is a multi-racial 18 year old lady. She is a product of her Portuguese-Chinese-Spanish-Filipino-Hawaiian mother and Spanish-Chinese-Filipino father. She is now on her 3rd year as a Finance and Accountancy student at Central Philippine University. She stands 5’8” tall with vital statistics of 36-24-38.
Twenty one year old Jeanyfer Ozbot is a 4th years Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management student at St. Therese-MTC Colleges La Fiesta Site. She is half Italian, having an Italian father. Her hobbies include malling, surfing the internet, playing clash of clans, watching movies, walking with her dog. She loves swimming and she also plays bowling and table tennis. She is talented in dancing, singing, mixing drinks, fruit flambéing. She stands 5’6” tall with vital statistics of 35-23-35. Je-an is a pageant enthusiast – she loves joining pageant since she was a child. She loves wearing crown. She always prioritizes her family, God and her education.
Janielle Gracie Miranda or Shawie, as she is fondly called by her family and friends, is a 18 year old Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management student at West Visayas State University. She stands 5’5.5” tall with vital statistics of 32-26-33. She loves to watch movies. She plays badminton, volleyball, arnis and basketball. Her talents include singing, dancing and drawing. She believes that time is like a river. One cannot touch the same water twice because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Every moment of one’s life must be enjoyed.
Janine May Coo is a 22 year old store specialist in one of the telecommunications company. She is a graduate of St. Paul University Iloilo. She stands 5’5” tall with vital statistics of 33-26-37. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, and reading fashion blogs. She plays volleyball and basketball and is talented in singing, dancing and newscasting. She is a goal-oriented person and a dreamer. She stays positive in all her undertakings and always put God in the center of everything that she does.
